| Elizabeth "Beth" Greene was born February 27, 1995, to Hershel Greene and his first wife, whom Beth doesn't really remember because she later died when Beth was four years old. Several years later, her father started seeing Annette Connell, who treated Hershel's daughters and son like her own, and because of that, when Hershel and Annette married, Beth started calling her "Mama" as she was the only mother she had ever known. This caused a bit of a rift with her sister Maggie for a time since Maggie was upset at the idea of Annette taking her mother's place. Beth spent her entire life on the Greene farm in rural Georgia. She helped out with the animals mainly chore-wise when she was old enough, and when she needed to get away to be by herself, she would go up into the barn. She loved books and singing - they were her refuge when things became difficult, especially when the walkers came, and Annette and her brother Shawn were infected and died. Like her father, she didn't want to believe that they were completely gone, so she helped lock them in the barn and care for them and other walkers that they found, hoping there would be a cure. But with the arrival of a group of survivors, they soon learned that wasn't the case... |
